What we check
For an IP, we query 9 major IP blacklists. For a domain, we check the domain on 3 domain blacklists and also test its website and mail server IPs.
If you are listed
Delisting only sticks if the cause is fixed first: a compromised mailbox, an infected website sending spam, an open relay or a missing reverse DNS. Then request removal on each list’s website.
Frequently asked questions
Some lists (Spamhaus in particular) refuse queries from large shared resolvers. It doesn’t mean you’re listed.
The source of the spam is still active. A server clean-up usually finds a compromised account or script.
Mostly email. Domain blacklists can also affect how links to your site are treated in email and some security tools.
