A load balancer spreads traffic across several servers so one failure doesn’t take you offline, and lets you add capacity as you grow. Done wrong, it causes new problems: broken sessions, uneven load, or dead servers still receiving traffic. We design and configure it properly, then prove it by testing failover.
What’s included
HAProxy frontends and backends
Nginx upstream load balancing
Round-robin, least-connections or IP-hash
Health checks and thresholds
Automatic failover
Sticky sessions where needed
SSL termination at the balancer
HTTP/2 and WebSocket support
Connection queue and timeout tuning
AWS, DigitalOcean and Hetzner load balancers
Database read-replica balancing
Zero-downtime server add / remove
How it works
DesignYour backend layout is mapped and the right balancing strategy chosen.
Choose the toolHAProxy, Nginx or a cloud load balancer, based on your stack and budget.
Prepare backendsEvery backend is checked to be identical in configuration and code.
ConfigureBalancing method, health checks and session handling set up.
SecureSSL terminated at the balancer and internal traffic restricted.
Test failoverA backend is taken down on purpose to prove traffic keeps flowing.
Why choose us for this
No single point of failureIncluding the balancer itself, with a floating IP or managed LB where it makes sense.
Sessions that surviveLogins and carts keep working, via sticky sessions or shared session storage.
Visible healthStats dashboards and alerts show which backends are healthy.
Tested, not assumedWe prove failover works before handing over.
Service FAQ
If downtime is costly, or one server can’t handle peak traffic, usually yes. If not, a well-tuned single server may be enough, and we’ll tell you.
Cloud LBs are simplest to run; HAProxy offers the most control; Nginx suits setups already using it. We recommend based on your stack.
With shared sessions (for example Redis) they stay logged in. With sticky sessions only, users on the failed server may need to log in again. We design for the first.
